On Sunday 2nd of November our beaver, cub and scout sections took to Coole Park, Gort for an orienteering event hosted by Western Eagles Galway Orienteers. 

We had a great turn out for the event across all our sections and a big thanks to all the leaders that came and supported it. 

We had a lovely day with weather being kind to us. Our Beaver section took on the 3.2km medium route and our Cub and Scout section taking on the 5.1km long route, all sections finished the routes with ease and completed the courses by finding all the landmarks.

Days like these would not be possible without our youth members and the support of their parents, so a big thanks to you for making days like these possible and getting some of our older leaders out for some fresh air and exercise. 

Safe to say our youth members carried some of our leaders through the day helping them find their way and if it was not for them there would still be a few leaders lost above in Coole Park. ⚜️
